First off I would like to say that this process hasn't been easy, with many errors along the way but each error helped to strengthen me as a games developer.
The original brief and what I originally set out to achieve was to have one character able to walk around a fully textured map, however over the course of this project I've had to adapt it due to running out of time
With my character the design never changed while modelling the character, however I did hit a number of bumps along the way, first was the head. Modelling the head was far out of my skill range, I however got around this by sculpting the head instead.
My original model as seen below

As you can see the basic body structure has stayed the same from the original design to the model I had so far.
The model was rigged and ready to be animated before personal issues arose which pulled me out of college and away from able to do the project for two weeks, during the two weeks the file rig ended up becoming corrupted and even after trying to re-rig it, it was deemed un-fixable which then left me with a head and body, unconnected with no rigs. I had no way to be able to do all that work in four weeks and so instead I scrapped the character knowing I was unable to fix that error and worked on adding better textures to my environment.
With the environment it was a rather smooth run, I found the environment rather easy to model and texture due to the cartoon, flat texture art style I originally decided to go for. The environment hasn't changed at all throughout the project, with the final concept art looking exactly like the final map I have now.
I was originally going to add normal maps to my map (which one of my tutors Jay advised I should attempt in feedback he gave me while looking at my environment.)

After seeing them in UE4 I decided that the flat textures matched the art style I was trying to sell a lot better.
Using UE4 at first was difficult however throughout the time of the project my skill set in UE4 has improved immensely with me being able to now work in UEK quickly and smoothly and having a vast knowledge in it.
With my time management I believe I was rather behind it until near the end of the project where I had to take the two weeks off, this made me fall behind and this was when my management started to slip, I was unable to catch up so late on into the brief.
If I was to re do this brief I would improve on:
My time management: I would make sure it keep to a stricter deadline, especially to my character. I would put aside more time for modelling as that is my weakness.
Modelling: I believe i could improve my modeling skills and put more time aside for modelling.
I would keep these points the same:
My production log: I believe I have done my log to a high enough standard making sure to log everything I do.
my concepts: I believe my concepts and concept art is done to a professional standard showing the atmosphere and view I was trying to get across.
My textures: I believe my textures are well done and match the art style I'm going for.
sticking to my style and concept: I made sure that all my textures and models fit the style I was going for.
Overall I am rather proud of the environment and map I have produced and though I had to remove the character which was part of the brief, The environment and map I have produced is to a high enough standard.
My environment screen shots.

Here is the first shot of my environment I've noticed that the House on the left isn't properly aligned onto the tree correctly, thought this isn't a big problem it is something I would still like to point out.

Here is the scene from further away where you can see the models correctly. I believe I should of added logs or archery but I simply ran out of time and was happy with the environment I added, I feel like less makes the two main models stand out more.

Here you can see the first screen shot of the models in game. As you can see the lighting needs to be rebuilt which I fixed straight after taking the screen shots.

Here is my second screenshot of the environment in game.

Another shot where you can see the model from a slight angle. I believe this helps show of the textures better, being able to see the slight log detail on the houses. I was unable to take a shot which showed off the detailing on the tree

A screen shot from far away so you can see the map as a whole.

The final screen shot.
