Here is my Animation I made with the robot rig for the Animation practice, I believe I've done well when it comes to the animating, the movement is good and I believe it captures a good personality which has also been said by many of my peers, a big problem with animating was it was confusing with all the different curves but after a while I got used to naturally using it.
The animation tools are very easy to find and simple to use, to access the animation tools you simply switch to "animation" in a drop down box in Maya. Setting key-frames is slightly different in maya to what I am used too, in Maya you press "S" while in the animation program I used to use it was enter.
To move to other keyframes is the same, just moving the cursor along to the preferred area.
The technique was pretty simple to pick up, making sure the amount of keyframes is equally distant.
We also learned about a Dope sheet, which helps with the animation process because instead of deleting keyframes and resetting them, with the dopesheet you can scale and move them to the desired area within the timeline, this is a very good technique to use throughout the animation process.
My peers (Alex and Cydney) and my tutor Jake pointed out how unique my walk was and praised me for it, however they did advise me that my walk was possibly too short and that I could of made it longer.
